In the time since the dragon Smaugs defeat, the city of Dale has become a prosperous trade hub. The merchants are well-equipped to conduct their business, but when a new enemy rears its head, they must join forces with heroes of Wilderland to defend their countryfolk from this terrible threat.

Players take control of iconic heroes like Bilbo Baggins, Radagast, and Din Ironfoot and join forces with the merchants of Dale to protect the people of Middle-earth from those that would do them harm.
